Locations
There are many options within Thailand for elderly care but our preferences are Hua Hin and Chiang Mai. Hua Hin as pearl on the ocean which is not too much influenced by the tourism and the side-effects that comes with that and it's great medical network and Chiang Mai as one of the origins for Western care facilities and the experience that comes with it.
Hua Hin
Hua Hin is known as the best city to live within Thailand and therefore it houses the Summer Palace of the Royal Family. A city located a 3 hour ride under Bangkok along the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Most tourists are wealthy Thai from Bangkok which still gives Hua Hin a very pure Thai feeling. Large markets, great restaurants, friendly people, beautiful temples and much wildlife around. There is a large Western community of retirees. The combination of these tourists and the retirees does provide Hua Hin with a very good healthcare structure. All the perfect ingredients for ....
Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai is originally known as important trade city in the golden triangle in the north of Thailand. As it lays inland and at higher altitude the nights are in general cooler. Chiang Mai is a very life city with a lot of culture and therefore tourism.
In addition, China Mai has a large international airport, making it easy to reach.
